Playful Pathways Therapy, LLC
Child & Family Therapy

Welcome
Welcome to Playful Pathways Therapy. There are many possible pathways to creating positive change in one’s life and getting started with therapy is an important and sometimes challenging step. We create new neural pathways in our brains in response to our life experiences every day. These pathways are how we adapt and learn new skills, heal, and grow. I aim to meet you where you are in that process, create a safe space for positive growth and a provide a level of supportive therapy tailored to you and your family.

Meet Your Therapist
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor providing therapy to children and families for the past 24 years, I value working together as a team to create a plan to help you and/or your child develop skills and abilities to best support everyone’s needs.
I believe in people’s ability to persevere, grow, change and overcome. I see evidence of this resilience every day in the remarkable youth and families with whom I work. If your child is experiencing changes in their behavior, mood, functioning at home/school or you’re having parenting challenges I’m here to help. Reach out, and I will reach back.

My Services
A Pathway to Feeling Better Awaits

Ages 0-10
In children, the most powerful learning and healing experiences are often through play! My expertise in providing Individual Child Directed Play Therapy, Filial Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Sandtray Therapy and components of the Incredible Years program are practices supported by research to help young children with a variety of symptoms related to trauma, anxiety, depression, behavior problems, etc. We will work together to support the processing of experiences and emotions to build coping strategies.

Ages 11-17
Creative arts, play-based, and experiential therapy approaches can be used effectively and therapeutically with all ages. Whether through Art, Sandtray, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR or other evidence-based methods, I emphasize a strengths-based and solution focused approach to addressing your adolescent’s concerns. We will develop a plan tailored to their needs to improve resilience, expression of thoughts and feelings, and address behavior to improve overall wellness.

Adults & Parents
Parenting through various ages and stages of a child’s life has its regular challenges…and great rewards. Whether you’re looking to simply add more tools to your toolbelt, understand a stage of development, or are at a loss for strategies to address a particular new emotion or behavior because it feels like nothing is working, there is support here for you. I view parents as the expert in their own children. It is a privilege to work alongside parents, emphasizing strengths to help effect positive change in your family’s lives.
