Play Therapy
Individual Child Centered
- Children learn how to express thoughts & feelings in constructive ways, control behavior, make decisions, and accept responsibility

- Involves regular 1:1 Parent Consultations to review progress, parenting, and collaborate on goals

- Involves focusing on a difficult experience while engaging in bilateral stimulation, e.g, eye movements, tapping, auditory tones
- Therapist guides client through series of steps to desensitize the memory, install positive beliefs, & strengthen coping mechanisms
Child-Parent Psychotherapy
Family, play based, ages 0-5
- Children who have experienced traumatic events, are experiencing mental health, attachment, and/or behavioral problems
- Based in attachment theory; integrates psychodynamic, developmental, trauma, social learning & cognitive behavioral theories
- Goal to support, strengthen the
caregiver-child relationship as a vehicle for restoring and protecting the child’s mental health.

- Dinosaur-themed materials and life-size puppets to engage children and strengthen social, emotional, and academic skills
- Small groups for children ages 4-8 years to improve emotion identification, expression and coping, anger management, problem solving, and social skills
- Parenting program addressing topics like effective limit setting, use of praise, tangible rewards, natural & logical consequences, time out
Solution Focused Brief Therapy
Short term and goal oriented
- SFBT is a therapeutic approach focusing on helping clients identify and build upon their strengths and resources to create positive change rather than dwelling on past or the problem itself.
- Emphasizes solutions and the future
- Defines specific goals and creates strategies to achieve them
- Enacting change in the present with emphasis on what is changeable and possible; homework activities

Cognitive Behavioral & Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Helps manage various mental health conditions and current problems by identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors.
- Develops coping strategies and solutions to specific challenges and practice new skills and strategies in therapy and in real-life situations
